Many assume, and rightly so, that seduction is purely about being lured sexually. And, of course, that is true in many cases. But in general, a seducing spirit has more to do with being drawn away from the truth—whether by deception, manipulation, or an unclean influence. Why is this important? Because many are being manipulated without realizing it, as there is a mixture of truth and deception in their spirit and mind.

The main reason is that many do not study the Word of God. As 2 Timothy 2:15 states, we must rightly divide the Word of God, but that’s impossible if we don’t study it effectively. The book of Hebrews also makes it clear that we need to be acquainted with the word of righteousness, which helps us discern between good and evil. So, there is hope, a way through, and a way to defeat this evil.

However, on the contrary, many are falling prey to seducing spirits in the context of lust and uncleanness, mainly through the avenue of pornography and an unbridled mind. But as I mentioned before—and will emphasize again—there is great hope for those who are willing to do a deeper work of addressing the deepest longings that are leading them astray in all the wrong ways.

My approach to this specific issue is God’s wisdom, not working with the soul alone or willpower, if you will. It is in the Spirit of God, not in the works of the flesh. I genuinely believe that if we stop being demon-focused and adopt the mindset of buying the truth and not selling it. (Proverbs 23:23) 

The real question is: Are we sold out for truth, or are we settling for your own version of it? Whatever truth you claim to hold, ask yourself: Is it setting you free, or is it setting you back? Just answering this question alone can lead you to a healthy conclusion without making it a great mystery to solve. 

The answers are simple. It just feels complex. But with the right insight, you can become competent and successful as a believer in Christ and, more importantly, have a clear conscience in the process. Ultimately, the goal is to free our spirit, mind, and body to worship Him in truth.
