Foreword

I was conducting an outdoor ministry campaign in Papua New Guinea when I first met Mark Johnston. I was immediately impressed by his real sincerity and passion for God. On several occasions as we sat and discussed the scriptures I was amazed that this young man who had finished a restoration program with Transformations would have built such a depth in God’s word in such a short space of time.
After hearing his life story, so filled with pain, abuse and rejection I began to see that it was a true miracle of God’s grace that he had come through so strongly. He had been through situations so physically and mentally brutal that it seemed amazing that he was in his right mind let alone a solid committed Christian minister and mentor to people coming out of broken lives.
After hearing Mark preach several times to mass outdoor crowds I was aware that a unique anointing rested on him. I could sense that God had a great plan ahead for a young man dramatically plucked out of Satan’s grip. His story will shock, challenge and inspire you. It will be a wonderful tool to help people realise that no situation is too difficult for God.
